Blog Prompt #8
"My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph." ~Richard Avedon. I think this is a very interesting idea. Most people who are not photographers probably never really think about this, but I think there is a lot of truth in it. Photographers choose to photograph subjects that are interesting to them, and the ways that they go about composing their photos reflect their own personal artistic styles. By looking at a single photograph, you might not be able to learn much about the photographer, but by looking at a career's worth of pictures, you can certainly get to know quite a bit about them.
