  1. These are so cool! I can kind of tell that I'm looking at a butterfly wing with the last four, but I really like them.

  2. Definitely think that series 1 and 3 are stronger in the abstraction realm. If there isn't empty space to find perspective, it makes it look more abstract so I can't tell what the image is of.
    Awesome colors/editing

  3. These are really interesting. When you print and display them, maybe you can do an "Andy Warhol" quad arrangement...

  4. awesome idea! i love the pop-art feeling. i think the third series is the strongest. all of them show so much texture, i think the color continues to add to the dynamic feel that you have captured. I didn't know these were bugs before you told me, so i think you're doing a good job to distort them!

  6. you could possibly do a bit of research on a conceptual link to pop art? something about your choice of natural objects and you use photography to transform them from a natural object into something artificial? we no longer see them as bugs, but as beautiful shapes and color. like icons. taking small things and blowing them up to large scale takes them from living and natural to artificial and iconic. sorry about the rambling!

  7. Interesting Idea with the bugs I thought the last two series were stained glass not bugs and the use of color and tones works very effectively can't wait to see them side by side not on top of each other.

  8. I absolutely love the colors you have brought out in these images! Using the lens, allowed you to get texture too! I would maybe crop out the white parts in the 1st and 3rd series, and maybe try to cut the images not in a square. The collage would be really neat if you have time to finish it, even if not for this deadline, but just to have! I love them!

  9. These colors are gorgeous. And I love the abstractions. You could play with the cropping some in the first series. Maybe so no white is showing. Or show an image of the whole bug. Nice work

  10. I really like the idea! It's conceptually simple but visually something everybody would like look at. The colors are great!

  11. I love the colors you were able to get. I think that the images that are captured at an angle are more interesting as far as composition. But if you do like the first ones more, maybe the way you arrange them in class could be its own composition as well.

  12. I really like your concept, I feel it is most effective in series two and three, especially series two i couldn't tell what it was at first until i saw series three.
